I teach middle school. All grades. I know crazy. Any time someone dismisses me when I say something like "Hold onto your horses, the full moon is coming!" , I immediately wish they were pregnant with a litter of middle schoolers- at least 10 of them.
The full moon makes people crazy, spacey, agitated, and sleepy. It makes Gizmo a nasty gremlin. But for middle schoolers, that shining night sphere creates downright lunatics. I, like, legit literally can't even right now. That means, I am not capable of expressing the sheer terror a teacher experiences with a classroom full of pre-teens on a full moon.
Someone send me facts. Send me science. Explain this phenomenon to me.
